Urban Meyer’s second Ohio State spring game will take place in Cincinnati’s Paul Brown Stadium.

The 2013 OSU football spring game, scheduled for April 13, is to be played in the home of the NFL’s Cincinnati Bengals while a cement resurfacing project in Ohio Stadium’s seating areas takes place, according to a Friday OSU athletics release.

Paul Brown Stadium has a listed capacity of 65,535, according to the Bengals’ website, and tickets will go on sale on a date to be determined, according to the release.

It will be OSU’s first trip to the venue since its 23-19 win against the University of Cincinnati on Sept. 21, 2002. The then-No. 2 Buckeyes defeated the Bearcats for their fourth win of the season before a crowd of 66,319 fans, according to the release.

The game will be a homecoming for Meyer, as he played football at UC in the ‘80s

“Cincinnati is a wonderful city full of great people,” Meyer said in the press release. “I think it is great that we are able to bring the Buckeyes into a part of the state where we haven’t been for a while, and I am looking forward to the team having the opportunity to play in Paul Brown Stadium.”

The resurfacing project in Ohio Stadium will commence in January 2013.
