Sophomore defensive back Najee Murray has been suspended from the team, according to coach Urban Meyer.

Meyer said Sunday the reason for Murray’s suspension is “a training camp issue.”

Initial reports were that Murray had been dismissed from the team. OSU spokesman Jerry Emig said Wednesday that there have been no updates on his status since Meyer said he was suspended at OSU Media Day.

Murray played in six games in 2012, mostly on special teams, before he tore his ACL while in practice. He recorded three solo tackles before the injury.

Murray did not respond to The Lantern’s request for comment.
