An armed robbery reported on 15th Avenue sparked a public safety notice Tuesday afternoon.

The robbery allegedly occurred Monday at about 11:30 p.m. near West 15th Avenue and Indianola Avenue. The suspect – described as a black woman between 16 and 25 years old, about 5 foot 9 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds – was said to be wearing a camouflage jacket and black pants with a black mask or scarf over her face and was carrying a handgun, according to the notice.

The suspect reportedly fled the scene on foot. Investigation into the event is ongoing.

The public safety notice was issued Tuesday at about 5 p.m.

Ohio State University Police and Columbus Division of Police representatives did not immediately respond to calls requesting comment Tuesday afternoon.
