Buckeye News Now: Ohio State campus remains open despite negative wind chills

With classes remaining open despite wind chills at minus 22 degrees, many students were left wondering what it takes for classes to be cancelled. Lantern TV Meteorologist John Banghoff brings you the answers regarding The Ohio State University’s school closing policy in this week’s Buckeye News Now.

Most students will be trying to avoid the frigid temperatures but Buckeye hockey is taking to the ice this weekend. We take a look at how both men’s and women’s hockey are gearing up for two big series’. The men’s ice hockey team will be competing against that team up north while the women face-off against Minnesota-Duluth for a home ice advantage.

  1. You always refer to John Banghoff as a meteorologist. No offense, but, isn’t John still a student working on his degree? Based on the definition at the AMS website, I don’t think John has earned that title quite yet.
