Buckeye News Update: Former Buckeye gets Super Bowl ring and Wrestling team continues streak

Nate Ebner, a former Ohio State walk-on, took home a Super Bowl ring on Sunday night with the New England Patriots 28-24 win against the Seattle Seahawks. Ebner is a native of Dublin, Ohio and has been a member of the Patriots organization since 2012, when he was drafted in the sixth round.

This Episode of Buckeye News Update also look at the OSU Wrestling team who extended their win streak to seven this past weekend, with wins against Purdue and Rutgers. The No. 4 ranked wrestling team will face off Minnesota in the Schottenstein Center this Friday at 7pm.

Las Vegas sports betting site Bovada recently released odds for the 2015 Heisman winner and Ohio State looks to be well represented. Four of the top 12 Heisman favorites are Buckeyes, with the odds-on favorite being OSU running back Ezekiel Elliott, who is pegged as a 6-1 favorite for taking home the trophy awarding the best player in college football.
