Opinion: Robin Williams a decorated actor, celebrated funnyman

Legendary actor and comedian Robin Williams was found dead in his Tiburon, Calif. home early this evening. He was 63 years old. His death is speculated to be self-inflicted. Williams was born in Chicago in 1951 and rose to fame as Mork in the television series “Mork and Mindy.” He would go on to star in such films as “Good Morning, Vietnam,” “Dead Poets Society” and “Good Will Hunting,” for which he won an Oscar. Opinion: Necessity of a ‘Mrs. Doubtfire’ sequel doubtful

As if Hollywood couldn’t shell out anymore sequels from the past — your favorite Scottish nanny is set to return to the big screen. “Mrs. Doubtfire,” the 1993 film starring Robin Williams in the title role, is set for a sequel from “Elf” writer David Berenbaum, according to “The Hollywood Reporter.” Directed by “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” director Christopher Columbus, the original film earned more than $400 million worldwide and an Oscar award for best make-up.
