Businesses at the Lennox Town Center are finally open to the Ohio State community. Don Pablo’s restaurant, Staples and the AMC Lennox Town Center 24 Theatres are located on Olentangy River Road between King Avenue and Kinnear Road. Other businesses will soon follow.’The greatest benefit of the center is that it allows students and people living in the downtown area to have a good place for entertainment,’ said Eric Derflinger, graduate student in electrical engineering. John Robinson, the general manager of Don Pablo’s, said customers had commented that the center filled a need in the community and the location was very convenient.The opening of Target and Barnes & Noble will be good for college students, said Bill Sturges, a server at Don Pablo’s and fifth year senior majoring in accounting.’Working at the Lennox Center is a great opportunity for students to make money and to meet other people from around here,’ he said. Bill Jenkins, a senior manager of the AMC Lennox Town Center 24, said the AMC Theatres feature 24 screens, stadium-style seating and movable armrests.The center’s estimated completion date is summer of 1997, and the total area will be 370,000 square feet, said Carla Wise, spokeswoman for the Don M. Casto Organization, which is working on the center.Other businesses to open by the summer of 1997 will include: Bath & Body Works, Barnes & Noble, Beauty Warehouse, Champs, Cup O’ Joe, Factory Card Outlet, Johnny Rockets, Just For Feet, the Men’s Wearhouse, Old Navy Clothing and Target.
