Suspects flee, leaving bootySept. 19: Two men entered Barnes and Noble Bookstore at 2009 Millikin Road and were recognized by bookstore employees as known suspects. When approached by a bookstore employee to tell the men they could not carry their backpacks in the store, the employee noticed that the bags had books in them and asked to search the suspect’s bags. The suspects wiggled out of their bags when grabbed by the employee, and fled the building. Bookstore employees and University Police officers circulated the area, but did not find the suspects.

Men with alcohol on OSU propertySept. 17: Two men were searched and arrested when they were stopped by a University Police officer on a bike while walking across High Street onto university property. James Tee Jr. and John Shellhouse, both 18 years old and residents at 70 W. 11th Ave. apt. 410 were issued summons for prohibition and open container. Both men were released at the scene.

Man seen in women’s restroomSept. 17: An unidentified man walked into the ninth floor women’s restroom in Siebert Hall, where he was confronted by a female resident, who asked him what he was doing. The man did not answer and went into one of the stalls. The woman reported the incident to her resident adviser and provided a description and said she would be able to identify the man if she saw him again. Several other residents saw the man leave the restroom and head towards the ninth floor elevators. University Police conducted a search for the suspect, but he was not found.

Passport stolen from backpackSept. 18: A passport from the South Republic of Korea was stolen from an unattended backpack in room 2027 of Robinson Lab. The bag was left unattended for 30 minutes. Nothing else was taken from the bag and there are no suspects.
