A 28-year-old man was found dead on East 13th Avenue Saturday morning.
Police were called to East 13th Avenue at 2:53 a.m. and found Christian A. Lodge in front of 182 E. 13th Ave. with severe head trauma. He was transported to the Ohio State Medical Center and died soon after arriving.
An investigation revealed that Lodge had recently been in a fight, but police have not discovered a suspect or a motive.
Lodge attended a cage fighting event at Screamin’ Willies, an East Side bar, Friday night before he was discovered, but police say his injury was not related to the event.
“They are completely separate events,” said Detective Jeff Brandt of the Columbus Division of Police Homicide Unit.
Police are still investigating the homicide.
