Future Ohio State football Buckeyes will be among other Ohio high school stars of the gridiron at Ohio Stadium this Friday at 7 p.m. as they take part in the 2010 Ohio North-South All-Star Game.
The game, which after 65 years is the nation’s longest running football all-star game, will feature five players that will suit up for the Scarlet and Gray next season.
Unlike in years past, the North-South game is being played in April, a change from the usual June date, which means the game will not conflict with the Big-33 All-Star game which pits Ohio’s best players against those hailing from Pennsylvania.
The game will feature more than a dozen players headed to Big Ten schools, most of whom are committed to play at either Ohio State, Michigan or Wisconsin.
Verlon Reed, a quarterback from Marion Franklin, is the lone Ohio State Recruit on the South team. Darryl Baldwin, J.T. Moore, Tyrone Williams and Christian Bryant will be representing OSU on the North Team.
