Even with a 38-14 win over Penn State, Ohio State didn’t move up in the latest BCS standings, released Sunday night. In fact, the top 10 in the standings remained the exact same from last week.
Oregon, Auburn and TCU remained first, second and third, respectively, despite close calls in each of their games.
The No. 1 Ducks escaped with a 15-13 win over California. Auburn used four touchdowns from Heisman trophy contending quarterback Cam Newton to turn a 21-7 deficit into a 49-31 victory over Georgia. TCU trailed San Diego State 14-0 in the first quarter but knocked off the Aztecs 40-35.
Boise State stayed at No. 4, LSU checked in at No. 5 and Stanford remained at No. 6.
Wisconsin, which walloped Indiana 83-20 on Saturday, stayed two spots ahead of the Buckeyes at No. 7. Nebraska is No. 8.
Oklahoma State rounds out the top 10.
OSU plays at Iowa at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
