Another pedestrian involved motor vehicle accident occurred Friday on Ohio State’s campus, this time on West Woodruff Avenue near the CBEC construction site.
“It was really a minor accident. A pedestrian ran into the side of the bus but there were no serious injuries,” said Liz Cook, assistant director for media relations.
A university employee at the scene, who declined to give his name, said the pedestrian was a woman. He said the woman was OK and walked away from the accident but the bus struck the woman.
Multiple campus security cars were at the scene directing traffic along with an ambulance. Officials cleared the scene before 10:30 a.m.
Since the start of the school year, there have been at least three pedestrian, bicycling, and motor vehicle accidents reported. Columbus police issued 241 citations for jaywalking and bicycling violations in the University District last weekend alone.

At 1 p.m. Friday, OSU will hold a campus-wide traffic safety event near Bricker Hall aimed to improve campus safety and provide traffic safety messages. More information on the accident will be disclosed at the event.
