Ohio State plans to put the new permanent Ohio Stadium lights to good use once again in 2015.
The OSU football team is scheduled to play two night games at home in 2015, against Penn State and Minnesota, according to a Thursday press release. The Buckeyes are also set to play night road games against Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va., and Rutgers in Piscataway, N.J.
The Buckeyes and the Nittany Lions are scheduled to square off on Oct. 17 at 8 p.m., while OSU is set to take on the Golden Gophers on Nov. 7 at either 7 or 8 p.m.
Both games are set to be carried on ABC, ESPN or ESPN2 in primetime.
OSU is set to open its season on Sept. 7 against the Hokies at night, but the official kickoff time has not been announced. The Buckeyes’ matchup with Rutgers is scheduled for Oct. 24 at 8 p.m., marking OSU’s first trip to New Jersey since the Scarlet Knights joined the Big Ten.
The Buckeyes are 12-4 overall in night games played at Ohio Stadium, and 46-23 in night games overall. They went 2-1 in night games at The ‘Shoe last season, beating Cincinnati and Illinois and losing to Virginia Tech.
