An Ohio State student was shot dead Sunday, according to WKYC-TV.

Quvonta Ratliff was found dead Sunday in a vehicle on Larchmont Road, located on Cleveland’s east side. He was shot in the head.

Ratliff was an 18-year-old first-year in exploration.

The Cleveland Police Department is conducting an ongoing investigation and no suspect has been identified.

The Lantern has reached out to Cleveland police for a statement on the incident and did not receive a comment prior to this article’s publication.

“We are heartbroken to learn about this tragedy. Quvonta Ratliff was a first-year student at Ohio State Mansfield. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. Counseling is available for those students in our community who need support by calling 419-529-9941,” a statement from Ohio State read.
