A robbery was reported to the Columbus Division of Police as having occurred on Jan. 1 at 1:20 a.m. on East 16th Avenue near North Fourth Street. According to the online police log, a man told police that a suspect approached him and demanded he hand over either cash or his iPhone. The suspect punched the man repeatedly and took his phone after the man threw it on the ground.
A man not affiliated with Ohio State was arrested by University Police for possession of drugs on Jan. 1 at 3:11 a.m. at West 12th Avenue and Cannon Drive.

According to the online police log, a man was walking to his friend’s house, when two unknown suspects hit him in the head from behind. The suspects took his iPhone, wallet, hoodie and hat after the man fell to the ground.
