It looks like the No. 14 Ohio State men’s basketball team could be busy during March.
The Buckeyes were listed as the No. 4 seed in the east regional Sunday in the NCAA Tournament selection committee’s release of the current top 16 seeds. They are in the same bracket as No. 1 Villanova, No. 2 Duke and No. 3 Texas Tech, and are expected to play in Boston.
No. 3 Purdue and No. 4 Michigan State also were seeded, with the Boilermakers set as the No. 1 seed in the west regional and the Spartans the No. 3 seed in the south regional.
The list revealed Sunday was a look at how the committee currently sees the NCAA Tournament field and does not reflect the actual tournament field that will be revealed on Selection Sunday on March 11.
Ohio State has come away with a pair of top-five wins with a victory Wednesday at Purdue and a win earlier in the season against Michigan State. It currently sits one spot ahead of the Boilermakers in the Big Ten standings with just four games left to go in the season.
