Ohio State updated future schedules on Wednesday, adding home games against both Buffalo and Akron in the 2020 and 2021 seasons respectively.

The Buckeyes will face the University of Buffalo on Sept. 19, 2020. It will be the second time these two schools have faced each other, with the Buckeyes defeating the Bulls 40-20 during the 2013 season.  

The Buckeyes have also added a game against the University of Akron on Sept. 25, 2021. Ohio State and Akron have played eight times against each other, defeating the Zips 42-0 during the 2011 season.

Ohio State and the University of Texas also mutually agreed to move their home-and-home series to the 2025 and 2026 seasons respectively. Those two games were initially set to be played in the 2022 and 2023 seasons. The Buckeyes will begin the home-and-home in Austin, Texas, against the Longhorns on Aug. 30, 2025.
