After being a part of head coach Chris Holtmann’s first recruiting class at Ohio State, forward Jaedon LeDee is reportedly leaving the program.

Ohio State confirmed Thursday LeDee has entered the transfer portal after one season with the Buckeyes.  The Athletic’s Bill Landis was the first to report the transfer.

“Jaedon is a terrific young man,” Holtmann said in a statement. “We appreciate the contribution he made to our team and wish him the best going forward.”

In his freshman season with Ohio State, LeDee played in 26 games, starting two, and averaged 3.0 points and 1.7 rebounds per game. LeDee shot 38.3 percent from the floor.

LeDee did not play a minute for the Buckeyes in either the Big Ten tournament or the NCAA Tournament, last playing five minutes against Wisconsin on March 10.
