“Ever since I was born at OSU hospital, some aspect of my life has always involved scarlet and gray,” Hoak said in a statement. “While I have gained so much experience during my time in Lexington, I could not pass up the opportunity to continue a family legacy.”
This past season, Hoak completed 13-of-26 pass attempts for 167 yards, throwing two touchdowns and an interception.
Hoak joins sophomore Justin Fields and redshirt senior Chris Chugunov as the three scholarship quarterbacks on Ohio State’s roster. Sophomore quarterback Danny Vanatsky is also on the roster as a walk-on. Ohio State also added JP Andrade to the 2019 class as a preferred walk-on Friday.
