Ohio State landed the sixth commit of its 2021 recruiting class Thursday, as four-star wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. announced his intentions to join the Buckeyes on social media.
Harrison is rated the No. 54 overall player in the country and the No. 8 receiver in his class, per 247Sports.
Playing for St. Joseph’s Prep School in Philadelphia, Harrison is teammates with Ohio State quarterback commit Kyle McCord — the No. 5 rated player at his position.
Along with four-star Jayden Ballard, Harrison is Ohio State’s second top 15 receiver in the class, and the eighth since 2019, joining freshmen Garrett Wilson and Jameson Williams, and 2020’s Julian Fleming, Gee Scott Jr., Mookie Cooper and Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
The 6-foot-4, 184-pound recruit is the son of former Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Marvin Harrison, who still holds the single season receptions record with 144, and is top five in all-time receptions and receiving touchdowns in NFL history.
