For the second consecutive week and third time this season, Ohio State is ranked No. 1 by the College Football Playoff committee.
The committee’s rankings were released Tuesday by ESPN, and the Buckeyes held down the top spot over No. 2 LSU, No. 3 Clemson and No. 4 Georgia.
According to the committee’s rankings, the Buckeyes hold four ranked victories over No. 20 Cincinnati, No. 14 Michigan, No. 10 Penn State and No. 8 Wisconsin.
Ohio State capped its 14th undefeated regular season in school history with a 56-27 victory over Michigan Saturday.
The Buckeyes rank No. 1 in the nation for scoring offense, first downs and total defense.
Ohio State continues its season in the Big Ten Championship game against Wisconsin at 8 p.m. Dec. 7.
