The first-ever 12-team College Football Playoff bracket is officially set.
Ohio State (10-2, 7-2 Big Ten) has the unique opportunity to play at Ohio Stadium in the first round of the playoffs with a matchup against the Tennessee Volunteers (10-2, 6-2 SEC) Dec. 21 at 8 p.m. ESPN will televise the game.
The Buckeyes received the 8-seed after failing to make the Big Ten Championship due to a crushing 13-10 loss against their rival Michigan Nov. 30.
Tennessee is coming off two-straight victories against the University of Texas El Paso — or UTEP — and Vanderbilt, but also failed to make the SEC’s championship due to a 31-17 loss to Georgia Nov. 16.
The winner of the Buckeyes-Volunteers contest will take on the undefeated Oregon Ducks Jan. 1 in the Rose Bowl.
