A motor vehicle theft was reported to the Columbus Division of Police as having occurred between 10:07 and 10:11 p.m. Wednesday in front of the McDonald’s on North High Street near East 18th Avenue. According to the online log, an Uber Eats driver left his vehicle running with the doors unlocked to pick up food from the restaurant for a delivery order. Upon exiting the McDonald’s, the vehicle was no longer there.
An assault was reported by Columbus Police as having occurred at 2:43 a.m. Sunday at the corner of North High Street and East Frambes Avenue. A man was in the process of making a report to police officers about broken eyeglasses. Upon seeing another man exit a restaurant, the man exclaimed “He’s getting away!” and ran from the police to the exiting man, then tackled and put him in a headlock.
Two students, one male and one female, were arrested by University Police at Ohio Stadium Saturday during the Ohio State-Illinois football game for separate incidents of prohibited acts and offenses involving underage persons occurring at 4:08 and 4:15 p.m.
