It’s National Margarita Day, which means Thursday just got thirstier for those over 21. In response, many restaurants are offering deals on drinks and giveaways to make margaritas even sweeter for the special occasion. Here is a rundown of the restaurants participating, those not participating and everything in between.
Offering Specials to Kick Off The Holiday Right:
Cazuelas: 2321 N. High St.
Located right outside of North Campus, Cazuelas has probably been preparing its chalices for this occasion since last year. While the “monster margarita glass” may be $20, they do come with a free T-shirt (while supplies last). To keep the celebration going, you have the option of bringing the glass back anytime for a $9.95 refill. Other restaurants celebrating National Margarita Day have big shoes (and glasses) to fill.
Park Street Cantina: 491 Park St.
For a classier affair, head over to Park Street Cantina located just past the Short North to enjoy 10 different hand-crafted margarita samples — both by drinking them and learning how they were made. Even better, the tickets for this event are only $13 when purchased online through Eventbrite prior to the event, making every sample only $1.30. Tickets are available at the door for $20.
Condado: 1227 N. High St. (Short North), 2977 N. High St. (Clintonville)
Located in the Short North and newly integrated into Clintonville, Condado is a clear favorite for college students. To maintain its place in the hearts of cash-strapped college students, Condado is offering a $1 discount on all house margaritas all day in celebration of National Margarita Day. If you’re looking for a busier, younger atmosphere, head to the Short North. If you’re more about the drink and not the college crowd, head to Clintonville –– the restaurant also has locations at Easton Town Center and on downtown on South High Street for those looking for a less-crowded option.
Nada: 220 W. Nationwide Blvd.
If you find yourself downtown and looking for a place to celebrate, head to Nada for $5 ‘Nadarita’s’ all night long. While sitting down to eat may require a reservation, the bar is up for grabs and the margaritas are strong. The ‘Nadarita’ is the only margarita that is on specialty that night and is made with el jimador, house curacao, agave and lime.
El Vaquero: 3230 Olentangy River Road
This year for National Margarita Day, El Vaquero is shaking up specialties for every type of alcohol lover. If you like a traditional margarita, you’ll love paying only $2.99 for their Limaritas. If you’re more of a beer fan, you’ll enjoy a $7.99 Coronarita. Wine lover? Still no problem, as you will be able to order Wine-A-Ritas for only $10.49. The only negative about El Vaquero is that it is a good distance away from other bars, so, if you wish to continue the party, you might have to catch an Uber to your next location.
No specials:
Bakersfield Short North: 733 N. High Street
While Bakersfield will be serving margaritas all day as a daily menu item, it will not be participating in any special deals for the holiday.
