What started out as an accountability group that met on the weekends for workouts has become one of the fastest growing workout movements in Columbus.
Created by Wittenberg University graduate Ray Watters, the Limitless Movement, an accountability and goal-setting team that provides a variety of intensive workouts for all fitness levels, is looking to expand its vision of leading healthier lifestyles to a broader audience, and it all starts with its launch party Saturday.
Assisting Watters is Limitless member Whitney Barkley, who said participants can expect a workout that will push them past their limits.
“It’s really important for people to understand that this group is truly going to push you past your limits,” Barkley said. “[We want to] help create a family that has a mutual goal of not only working out but living healthy as well.”
Limitless workouts are designed for everyone, whether you’re an expert or just starting out, and pinpoint individual muscle groups to obtain the most effective results.
“We bring different workouts to the table to target different parts of the body because people need that to succeed,” said Jamel Williams, a Limitless member “It’s challenging but fun, and we really encourage each other.”
In the future, Watters said he will be opening his own gym in the Columbus area. In order to assist people with more personalized health and training needs, he is hiring a registered dietician and personal trainer to work closely with their crew.
In addition to networking opportunities, there will be live workout demonstrations, a photo booth, healthy drink samples made by a professional mixologist and a live DJ.
Aside from providing people with killer workouts and holding each other accountable, the group has inspired people to take a further step in the fitness world.
Jamel Williams, a member at Limitless, said the crew motivated him to go back to school to pursue becoming a certified fitness trainer.
