Ohio State has issued a public safety notice after a man unaffiliated with the university was robbed at gunpoint near North High Street and West Ninth Avenue.

The victim was walking around 2 p.m. Tuesday when two people in a vehicle pulled up to him, according to the notice. A female in the car motioned the man to come over, and a male in the passenger seat pointed a gun at the victim demanding his money.

After the victim surrendered his belongings, the vehicle drove eastbound towards North High Street. According to the notice, there were no injuries reported.

There are few suspect details, but the car was described as being an “older” Honda Accord with  temporary tags, according to the notice. Columbus Police are investigating and anyone with information is asked to call 614-645-4545.
