Students gathered on campus to witness history being made Monday, April 8 when the sun, moon and Earth aligned causing near totality in Columbus.
Totality occurred in other Ohio cities, including Dayton, Akron and Cleveland, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
This was the first total solar eclipse visible in Ohio since 1806, and the next one won’t occur in Ohio until 2099.
