No Aaron Bradshaw, no Sean Stewart, no Ques Glover, no problem.

Despite Ohio State being down two of its regular starters and a key reserve, the Buckeyes (4-1) decimated the Campbell Fighting Camels (3-3) 104-60 Friday night at the Schottenstein Center while surpassing the century mark for the first time in nearly five years.

Guard John Mobley Jr. paved the way for Ohio State with 23 points and was joined by five fellow Buckeyes who also scored in double figures.

Ohio State also totaled 22 assists as a team, setting a new season high.

The Fighting Camels started hot out of the gate, converting five of their first nine shots.

But Ohio State’s Mobley stole the show early on.

After checking into the game, Mobley scored 8 points in just over two minutes, netting two 3-pointers and converting on a layup to jumpstart the Buckeyes’ offense.

Ohio State head coach Jake Diebler praised Mobley for his impact as a true freshman.

“He creates a great deal of gravity when he’s on the court, he’s a complete player.” Diebler said. “He’s really worked hard to improve on the defensive side, which is probably the area I’m most proud of.”

With 9:46 left in the first half, forward Devin Royal split a pair of free throws, which ignited a 15-0 run for the Buckeyes.

Through the first half, Ohio State connected on 11 of its 13 3-point attempts, with five credited to Mobley, compared to Campbell’s lackluster 22% shooting from beyond the arc.

Mobley set his career-high in points by the end of the first half, with 19 in only 14 minutes of playing time.

The Buckeyes’ offensive momentum carried over into the second half, with six different players recording points in the first eight minutes.

In the second half, nine different Ohio State players got into the scoring column as the Buckeyes soared over 100 points thanks to an emphatic dunk from guard Colin White.

Diebler expressed how the team is capable of relying on a different player any given night.

“I continue to talk about the depth of this team and we got some versatility throughout.” Diebler said. “I was so impressed with the way the ball moved.”

Ohio State will lace up again to host the Green Bay Phoenix 7 p.m. Monday at the Schottenstein Center.
