Welcome Week may be over, but the Ohio Union Activities Board is set to greet October with another free concert for Ohio State students.
Rock bands OneRepublic and TeamMate are set to perform at the Schottenstein Center Oct. 4, presented by OUAB and truthLIVE.
TruthLIVE is a music tour sponsored by U.S. anti-tobacco campaign, TheTruth.com.
After breaking out with its 2007 hit “Apologize” featuring Timbaland, OneRepublic has produced three albums with nine tracks landing in Billboard’s Hot 100. The band’s latest album, “Native,” was released March 26 and features singles “Counting Stars,” “If I Lose Myself” and “Feel Again.”
Exes-turned-musical-partners Dani Buncher and Scott Simon comprise rock duo TeamMate. The couple’s first single, “I Won’t Be Home For Chanukah,” was released in December, and since, Buncher and Simon have released a four-track EP (“The Sequel”) and the single “Love is Love.”
OUAB did not immediately respond for comment Sunday night.
Tickets for the concert are free for OSU students, staff and faculty and will be released Monday at noon at the Ohio Union information desk. Two tickets are allowed per valid BuckID.
Doors are scheduled to open Oct. 4 at 6:30 p.m., and the concert is set to begin at 7:30 p.m.
