The Ohio State University made the Lantern a featured program in its most recent Day of Giving, an annual event that raises money for various programs and endeavors around campus.
Throughout the day, The Lantern received 51 gifts from donors that, together with matching funds, raised $14,636 to support our student journalists. The money will be deposited in an endowment, the Lantern Support Fund, which will support the Lantern’s operations for decades to come.
“We’re very grateful to the donors for their generous support,” said Spencer Hunt, the Lantern adviser, “and to the university for making the Lantern a priority during the Day of Giving.”
